The CLI is open source and always will be. Team plans add collaboration, dashboards, and alerting.
Yes. The CLI is Apache 2.0 licensed and always will be. Use it commercially, modify it, distribute it. No limits, no signup, no tracking.
The CLI works offline and locally. The Team plan adds a shared web dashboard where your whole team can see contract status, validation history, and receive alerts. Think of it as the difference between running dbt locally vs using dbt Cloud.
Not yet. The SaaS dashboard is planned for later in 2026. If self-hosting is a requirement for your organization, reach out — we're listening to early demand.
Monte Carlo is a data observability platform (monitoring, anomaly detection, lineage). DataVow is a data contract enforcement tool (define, validate, block, report). They're complementary — Monte Carlo watches for anomalies, DataVow enforces the rules you've defined.
PostgreSQL and MySQL are supported via DuckDB ATTACH. Snowflake, BigQuery, and Databricks support is on the roadmap. Star the GitHub repo to stay updated.
